What I offer
Every family is different, and every journey into parenthood is unique. That’s why I offer flexible, personalised support that adapts to you, your needs, your hopes, your questions, and your rhythm.
To support you in the way that feels most meaningful, we take the time to build a strong, open, and trusting relationship. That connection is at the heart of everything I do. It allows us to really get to know one another, to feel comfortable sharing openly, and to work together with honesty, warmth and mutual respect. I want you and your birth partner to feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
Prenatal, Birth and Postnatal Support Package
Below is an outline of what my birth support package typically includes. It’s not a checklist or a rigid plan, just a guide to the kinds of support I can offer. What our time together looks like will depend on what matters most to you. Together, we’ll shape the support that feels right for your family.
Before the birth
Pregnancy is a time of preparation, not just for birth, but for parenthood and the big emotional and physical transformation ahead. During our time together, we’ll create space for reflection, learning, connection and building trust.
Some of the ways I might support you during pregnancy include:
-
Meeting you and your birth partner a minimum of four times for a 2-3 hours each time
-
Getting to know each other and building a strong, trusting relationship with both of you
-
Exploring your birth wishes and your fears
-
Helping you create birth preferences that reflect what matters most to you
-
Talking through previous birth experiences if you’ve had them
-
Supporting you in finding your ways to work with the intensity of labour
-
Helping you prepare for the postpartum period - emotionally, practically, and logistically
-
Being available by phone, text or email for any questions or updates throughout your pregnancy
-
Sharing books, resources and information to help you make informed, confident decisions
During the birth
I will be on-call for you from 38 to 42 weeks, but if your baby decides to come earlier or later, I’ll do everything I can to be there for you.
When labour begins, I’ll join you as soon as you feel you need me and stay with you and your partner throughout your entire labour and birth, offering calm, continuous presence and care.
My role during birth includes:
-
Creating and holding a space where you feel private, safe, calm and supported
-
Supporting you physically—massage, movement, breathing, or just being close by
-
Supporting your partner so they can be present and connected with you, while also having moments to rest, eat, or step back when needed
-
Offering gentle suggestions for positions, comfort measures, or ways to ease and enjoy your labour
-
Advocating for your decisions if needed, always centring your voice
-
Stepping back when privacy is what you need
-
Taking photos or video (if you'd like!) to help you remember and honour this powerful moment
After the birth
Once your baby is here, the world shifts—and I’ll be there to help you find your footing in this new season of life. Whether you need practical help, emotional support, or just someone to sit with you and listen, I’ll be there in whatever way feels most useful.
Postpartum support might include:
-
Visiting you two or three times (or more if needed) in the three weeks following birth
-
Being available by phone, text or email during those first three weeks
-
Talking through and gently debriefing your birth experience
-
Supporting you with feeding, including breastfeeding if that’s your choice
-
Cooking nourishing meals or baking something comforting
-
Running a few errands, light housework or grocery shopping
-
Watching over baby while you rest or shower
-
Signposting you to resources, groups, or professionals if you need extra support
This package is just a starting point. We’ll decide together what works best for you and your family, what feels nourishing, supportive and right for your journey.
Note on Postnatal Support offering
I also offer standalone postnatal support sessions—for families I’ve supported through birth, as well as for those who are simply looking for some extra care in the early weeks with a new baby. These sessions are tailored to your needs, whether that’s emotional support, feeding guidance, a listening ear, or an extra pair of hands.
Postnatal sessions are £25–30 per hour, with a minimum of two hours per session, available in and around Edinburgh. If you’d like to know more, please do get in touch—I’d love to chat with you about what would feel most supportive.
If you’re not sure what kind of support you might need yet, that’s completely okay. Let’s chat. We can take time to talk through your hopes, your questions, your uncertainties—and begin building something that fits.
Pricing
I believe everyone should have access to continuous, compassionate support during pregnancy, birth and the early days of parenting—no matter their financial circumstances.
That’s why I offer my prenatal, birth, postnatal support package on a sliding scale, based on what feels genuinely affordable for your household.
Here’s a guide:
£800 – Lower Rate
For those who would find the full cost a stretch. This helps cover my basic costs and ensures support is accessible to more families.
£1,000 – Standard Rate
This reflects the true value of the care, time and presence I offer throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Paying this amount supports the sustainability of my work.
£1,200 – Community Supporter Rate
For those who are financially comfortable and would like to help make doula care accessible to others. Paying this rate helps subsidise support for families who may not otherwise be able to afford it.
There’s no application process or need to explain your choice—I trust you to choose the rate that aligns with your circumstances.
I usually ask for half the fee after our first prenatal visit, and the other half after the birth, but I’m open to alternative payment plans.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I want this process to feel fair, clear, and supportive—for everyone.
Additional travel and parking costs may apply.
